52 Weeks of Floor Plans--Week 52!

Well, my 52 weeks has come to an end! I still love the idea of using recycled materials for building a modern cottage.  Possibly if I combined shipping container skeletons and covered in rustic wood. Maybe I could find recycled skyscraper windows for large picturesque views.   A long galley style kitchen would be ideal for the slender space. Here are a few of my favorites: Source Source Source I also love the idea of a rooftop deck/ patio.  I would love a space to retreat to in the Spring, Summer, and Fall!  Not to mention to plant an adorable garden for flowers and vegetables. Source Source Source Hope you enjoyed the last 52 weeks!   I will continue to write as time progresses, but with a little more variety about Adventures, and of course Cooking & Cottages!

52 Weeks of Floor Plans --- Week 51!

Source With the super cool weather right now (It's almost June and its still in the 60's some days) I wouldn't mind a screened porch to relax in.  This bohemian style space would be ideal, but here are a few more I love.  Source Source Source Source Source Maybe a daybed for naps... Source

52 Weeks of Floor Plans --- Week 50!

I love the exterior of this place!  It would be perfect with the rear of the house facing a small lake so I could wake up and go kayaking before starting my days! Source Maybe a lake and deck like this... Source I found this galley kitchen with a great decorative floor tile, simple white subway tile, and wood counter-tops. Source Another great tile! Source And finally this beautiful light blue faded shower tile! Source

52 Weeks of Floor Plans ---Week 49!

So this past week, I've been all over! Last weekend started the fun of traveling to NJ to have dinner @ Grill Creations with my sister (delicious fish tacos and quesadillas!) And explored in the morning with my sister & niece! Then the next day wedding dress shopping with my best friend in NYC at Kleinfeld's...  And then later in the week, I was in Hershey seeing the best concert I've ever seen  Isaac Slade of the Fray! Pat Monahan of Train! He walked right by us while singing Bruises! (and this was all while working a 40+ hr workweek!) But after all of that chaos, here is a floor plan of a cute little place I wish I could retreat to after a long day! Love this couch for a living space... Source And this kitchen layout... Source And this simple bathroom with its clean lines! Source

52 Weeks of Floor Plans --- Week 48!!!

(A little behind, but catching up!) The last 3 weeks, I have been on the move, hence the reason for the delay! First, I drove to Massachusetts to see my sister and her adorable family for a very important ballet recital.  I had an amazing time and wished I could stay for forever! So this design is what I would do to her garage so I could have a permanent place to stay if I could secretly move up there!  I would be perfectly content sleeping on a couch like this: Source And have a mini kitchen... Source And a teeny bathroom with a shower like this... Source And then I could enjoy my summer doing this every sunny day!
